Our mission at Pickens County CTC  is to prepare students to reach their maximum potential

e-Transcripts
By using e-Transcripts, current SDPC students can request transcripts without going through the guidance departments. With the South Carolina e-Transcript project, students in the district’s four high schools have a safe, electronic way to order official transcripts for colleges, universities and scholarship funds nationwide. An initiative of the South Carolina Department of Education and the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education, e-Transcript Services are delivered by Docufide, Inc., a company that concentrates on the electronic delivery, management, and analysis of student academic records.

There’s no cost to send e-Transcripts to participating South Carolina colleges and universities. Students will pay $3.00 to out-of-state colleges and universities receiving the electronic transcripts or to nonparticipating in-state institutions. A $5.00 fee is required to send hard copies. All payments are made online at the time of request.

Please click here to see instructions for ordering your e-Transcript.

SC Trac
SC TRAC
The SC Commission on Higher Education has launched a Web portal designed to improve college course transfer and articulation in the state. The Web portal, called SC TRAC (the South Carolina Transfer and Articulation Center), can be accessed online at www.sctrac.org. SC TRAC assists students and supports college and university staff members by providing online tools that make it easier to transfer academic credit as well as to evaluate how higher education coursework will transfer among South Carolina’s public colleges and universities. College Application Day 2011
On October 13 and 14, 2011, senior career & technolgoy center students will participate in College Application Day. Each senior will have the opportunity to complete a college application, either on-line or on paper.  Students and parents who want to apply to other colleges and access helpful college planning information can go to  http://www.sccango.org/applyscholar.html . For any questions about this process please see Mrs. Sparks, PCCTC guidance, or your home high school guidance counselor.
FAFSA SIMPLIFICATION
The 2011-12 FAFSA-on-the-Web has been redesigned to be shorter, simpler, and more user-friendly. Questions are now asked only if relevant to the applicant. Also, immediately after submitting the FAFSA, applicants will now receive a confirmation email message which indicates Pell Grant eligibility and links to information about the schools they are applying to, such as graduation and transfer rates and a detailed breakdown of costs and expected expenses associated with the schools.

President Obama has challenged the nation to have the world's highest percentage of college graduates by 2020. Simplifying the federal student aid application process supports that goal by making it easier for students to access financial support for postsecondary studies. Students could begin filing FAFSAs for the 2011-12 academic year on January 1. For more information, please go to
